The School's seminars are an integral part of our academic culture.

They are held every Tuesday, giving students and staff opportunities to showcase current research activities, while enabling an in-house peer-review process.

The seminars are a combination of:

  • research proposal presentations by new students
  • thesis presentations by 'PhinisheD' students
  • papers and posters to be presented at conferences
  • research group presentations
  • whole-of-school journal clubs
  • guest lectures by national and international speakers

Monthly workshops are organised on various subjects ranging from epidemiological research methods, specific biostatistical analyses, preparing systematic reviews, to competitive grant writing and preparation for post-doc fellowships.

Intensive professional development workshops are held each June.

Time and venue

All seminars and workshops start at 11 am and are held in Seminar Room 3 unless otherwise stated.
