This prize for Excellence in Public Health Field Research, which began in 1997, is awarded every two years.
It is named for Jan Watt, a research nurse and a pioneer in the collection of data from the community. The prize can be won by a general staff member, a postgraduate student or a research group for outstanding commitment to high quality fieldwork.
The Citizenship Award was first presented in 2004. It is given annually to a general or academic staff member who has excelled in their altruistic contributions devoted to helping others and helping the School overall to be more efficient, productive and a good place to work and study.
