Nursing Research

Nursing is a relatively new discipline at the University of Western Australia, although it is well established in many of the other Group of Eight universities in Australia.

Our nursing research complements the growing multidisciplinary nature of the UWA Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.

Research areas

Our key research areas are:

  • Maternal and child health
  • Mental health
  • Acute care nursing practice
