Using the recreational boater survey conducted in February 2006, this (Honours student) project involved analysing the use of alcohol among recreational boaters.
It determined factors that may influence whether the boaters drank alcohol.
Interviews were conducted with key national and local marine safety authorities and senior members of the Water Police to identify barriers to implementing legislation for blood alcohol limits among recreational boaters and ways to overcome these.
