The unit's primary function is to evaluate the Commonwealth-funded Aged Care Assessment Program (ACAP) in Western Australia.
The ACAP project includes the development and maintenance of an information system to record basic data from all assessments of all clients referred to the Aged Care Assessment Teams (ACATs).
We provide support and training for ACATs throughout the state and participate in related projects for the WA Department of Health. The aged care data is collected quarterly for collation into a report and is also sent to the ACAP National Data Repository in Melbourne.
